Emmy Award-Winning Former KTUL Chief Meteorologist
Endorses Tornado Alley Armor Safe Rooms
For twenty-two years Frank analyzed and forecast the weather right in the heart of "Tornado Alley"....the last eight of which serving as Chief Meteorologist for the ABC affiliate KTUL-TV Channel 8 in Tulsa, OK. Over the years millions of loyal viewers have turned to Frank for accurate and trustworthy severe weather advice.
When it comes to severe weather, Frank has seen it all and knows how to keep people safe. Over the years he had surveyed dozens of tornado disaster sites and witnessed first hand the importance of a quality safe room.
Frank was awarded an Emmy for his outstanding coverage of the May 4, 2007 tornado that decimated Galena, Kansas. He also was recogized by the Oklahoma Associated Press for Best Storm Coverage.
We are proud to have Frank's endorsement of our innovative safe rooms. It's a rare opportunity and great achievement to gain the support of an Emmy-winning veteran Oklahoma Chief Meteorologist, one who has tracked over a thousand tornadoes and knows first hand the destructive power they can unleash with very little advanced warning.
"I’ve visited far too many tornado disaster sites in my career, and have seen what happens first hand when a family didn’t have a safe room, or they had one that couldn’t withstand the force of a violent tornado.
This is the most innovative safe room I've ever seen. Tornado Alley Armor is the real deal....with F5-rated impact testing, a FEMA 320 compliant design, and most importantly in this unregulated industry, an independent engineering peer review of design and compliance verification confirmed by the National Storm Shelter Association. These guys are doing all the right things when it comes to manufacturing quality safe rooms built to the highest standards.
When you consider some of the added benefits of the unique bolted design...mobility, accessibility, escapability, and affordability, this safe room is really in a league of its own. Just the option to take it with you when you move is huge...providing a lifetime of tornado protection in Tornado Alley. If you do your homework I'm confident you'll agree this is an excellent investment in your family's safety.
I highly recommend Tornado Alley Armor as your choice for severe weather protection."
In September 2012, after eight years of working evenings Frank resigned his position with Channel 8 to enjoy more time with his two growing children, and to be able to attend and participate in their extracirricular activities. You can watch his farewell announcement here.
